With December coming up, all we are hoping for is a December with a top deck on Fannas. Being that we have had to sell Born Free, to an independent contractor, the best and only thing that we can hope to wish for is the top and secondary deck on the boat which we have to use during December, Fannas ‘Spirit of St Lucia’. Let us wait and hope it is ready in time…

With many rumors on whether or not the St Lucia mouth is going to open any time soon, us as St Lucia residents and dependents are all of the most welcoming to hear the news that the Authority is making the necessary changes in ecological leverage to create an ‘open-mouth’ policy. They have invited intellectual teams from 3 separate universities in South Africa to evaluate and judge their use of resources and management; these teams have found that the best way to maintain the most ideal ecologically friendly and naturally habitable ecosystem in and around the estuary is to open the St Lucia mouth. As St Lucia’s industry is solely dependent on its tourism sector, St Lucia residents and business owners rely almost solely on the tourism industry for income. With a closed mouth to the estuary, the St Lucia business holders are suffering severely from the tourism drought.

The Authority is now taking the steps needed to rectify the tragedy that it has recently effected on the St Lucia tourism trade. Please God, let it be enough…
